When you're queen there's always plenty of cake and chocolate to share.
This Frozen II polybag shows Elsa on her throne in a frozen, winter woodland. The Disney Frozen II logo across the bottom marks this as part of a special Disney subtheme tied to the animated movie release. Anna and Elsa as illustrated for the movie are shown in the lower right hand corner.
The back of the polybag has a LEGOLAND coupon along with product warnings and copyright information.
Inside the bag is a folded instruction pamphlet and all the parts you need to create Elsa's throne and a side table. There aren't any new parts other than a new torso and legs for Elsa, which is also used in Set 41167 Arendelle Castle Village.
Here's a closer look at Elsa's new gown. Elsa's gown has an asymmetrical lavender top, with a medium lavender full-length skirt. The skirt has a lavender central panel. The gown is decorated in a spiky pattern reminiscent of snow crystals and Norse knitting. Elsa also has a painted pink necklace. We also build a simple scepter for her using a white telescope and a trans-light blue heart-shaped jewel.
Let's build a throne for the queen.
The trans-light blue, medium azure, and white are effective colors for creating an icy throne. It can be difficult to get Elsa to sit without toppling out, but if you rest her hands on the arms of the throne it will stabilize her.
Next, we build a little side table for Elsa's refreshments and a place to set her crown. The cherry cake and a bar of chocolate look delicious. The reddish brown 1 x 1 bricks with scroll add a nice royal detail for this simple table.
As this is a small polybag, there are only a few spare parts. I particularly like getting an extra trans-light blue pyramid piece.
At the bottom of the instruction sheet, there is a maze/adventure map illustration advertising the rest of the Frozen II sets. This is a fun way of letting us know what other sets are in the series.
Elsa's Winter Throne is a fun, simple build. I enjoy polybags and how much can be accomplished with just a few pieces. This would be a great addition to a larger Frozen display or MOC.
Happy building!
